A Garden of the Gods Elopement

Charmaine & Loui — Garden of the Gods Elopement

Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO

Charmaine and Loui wanted a ceremony that felt sacred and simple. Garden of the Gods delivered, towering red sandstone, a quiet trail, and just enough warm Colorado light to make the whole morning feel cinematic.

Why Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods sits at the foot of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs and is hands-down one of the most photogenic free-to-enter parks in the state. The red sandstone fins glow at sunrise, the crowds thin out if you start early, and there are several permit-friendly spots that work beautifully for an intimate ceremony or vow exchange.

The Day

We met before the park got busy, walked a quiet section of trail, and let Charmaine and Loui be in their moment. The light bouncing off the red rock did most of the work, soft, warm, and forgiving.

Planning a Garden of the Gods Elopement

You'll need a Garden of the Gods special-use permit for any ceremony with seating or staging, but smaller vow exchanges and portraits are typically fine without one. Plan for sunrise, both for the light and for parking, and bring layers; Colorado Springs mornings can be cool even in summer.
